Tactile Servo

The TS20 Series is a family of ultra-miniature, high-precision integrated rotary actuators available in two reduction variants: TS20-50 (50:1 gear ratio) and TS20-100 (100:1 gear ratio). Equipped with dual 24-bit absolute encoders, both models achieve ultra-precise motion feedback and high mechanical accuracy with minimal backlash restricted to under 20 arc-seconds. Furthermore, both configurations are fully backdrivable, making them ideal for collaborative robotics, haptics, and delicate manipulation tasks.

Dynamic Performance & Torque Profiles

Tailored for distinct speed-to-torque operational envelopes:

• TS20-50: Provides a rated torque of 0.7 N·m and a maximum peak torque of 2 N·m (rated at 300 ms, configurable duration), achieving a high no-load rotational velocity of 31.4 rad/s (~300 rpm).

• TS20-100: Engineered for higher payload capacity, delivering double the torque density with a rated torque of 1.5 N·m and peak torque reaching 4 N·m (@ 300 ms, configurable), alongside a maximum no-load speed of 15.7 rad/s (~150 rpm).

Form Factor, Power & Interface

Both variants share an identical ultra-compact cylindrical form factor measuring Ø20 mm in outer diameter by 35 mm in length, featuring a central Ø1.7 mm hollow bore for streamlined internal cable routing, and weighing only 35 g. The system operates on a nominal 24 V DC bus voltage and utilizes standard RS-485 industrial communication for robust real-time command execution and telemetry.
