Product Overview

The encoder provides a versatile single-turn measurement range with configurable 15–17 bit resolution and adjustable CW/CCW rotation directions. Engineered for dynamic operation, it supports maximum speeds up to 6,000 rpm while maintaining high positioning accuracy with a maximum static error of ±0.03° and repetitive error constrained to ±2 LSB.

Mechanical & Electrical Characteristics

Featuring a micro-footprint design, the unit measures Ø14.8 mm (outer) / Ø2 mm (inner) / 3.6 mm (height) and weighs only 2 g. Fabricated with durable FR-4 stator and rotor materials, it achieves an ultra-low rotor inertia of 0.006 kg·mm² while providing flexible installation margins, including an allowable mounting eccentricity of ±0.1 mm and an allowable axial tolerance of 0.4 ± 0.1 mm. Electrically, the encoder runs on a 5V supply drawing less than 80 mA, outputting signals through a 6-pin connector / 6-core cable interface supporting SSI, BiSS-C, RS-422, and RS-485 serial communication protocols.

Designed for harsh operating conditions, the device meets IP40 protection and complies with IEC 61000-6-2 and IEC 61000-6-4 EMC standards. It operates across an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C (storage rated for -50°C to +100°C) and 0–99% relative humidity. Mechanical robustness is certified with functional vibration resistance up to 20g (10–2,000 Hz) and shock endurance up to 100g / 11 ms.
